n collaboration with St. Francis Emory Healthcare Women's Hospital, our Rotary Club embarked on a district grant-supported project to mark the hospital's 10th anniversary. The project aimed to enhance maternal and child health by supporting a community event celebrating all babies born at the hospital in the last decade. Our project plan involved purchasing books for every child attending the community-wide event, ensuring accessibility to literature that many homes might not afford. This initiative not only celebrated the hospital's commitment to maternal and child health but also contributed to early childhood literacy, recognizing its crucial role in child development. Members also volunteered to take turns reading to the children in attendance. The project directly benefits children in the community, by providing each child with a book, we aimed to promote literacy and create a positive impact on their early learning experiences.
